Yes, this really is the doily from the UK sitcom Father Ted.

• Coats Mercer-Crochet Cotton No. 40 (20grm). 1 ball each of 402 (Rose Pink), 573 (Laurel Green) and White. This model is worked in these shades, but any other shades of Mercer-Crochet may be used.

• Milward steel crochet hook 1.00 (no. 4). (If your crochet is loose use a size finer hook, if tight use a larger hook).

• Size of centre motif (26 rows): 14.5 cm (5 3/4in) in diameter.

• Measurement: 42 cm (16 1/2in) in diameter.

Please note: This is not the same doily as “Ring of Roses #S-896”.

They’re similar, but yarn weight, final size & colors are different, the outer border is different (with folds), the roses have a different outer border, and finally S-896 has more motifs around the edge than this one.
