Ringel Beanie
This slouchy lace beanie is crocheted entirely in slip stitches. Once you got the lace pattern down, it is worked up in a breeze. And if lace is too open for you - there’s a basic version, too.
size: 57 cm in circumfence. Instructions for adapting the size are given.
skill level: medium. If you already know how to slip stitch crochet: easy
skills needed: chain
skills learned:
- back loop only slip stitches
- front loop only slip stitches
- nearly invisible crocheted seam in back loop only stitches
- F2tog in the round
- slip stitch lace in the round
yarn: 50 g of fingering weight to sport weight yarn
Grey sample (basic beanie) in pattern photographs used 42 g of Fiddlesticks Enticing. The pink sample (lace beanie) used 38 g of some handdyed yarn slightly thicker than sock yarn.
hook: 4.5 mm (US size G-H)
also needed: darning needle for sewing in ends, stitch markers
The pattern is written in English.
Special thanks to Waldmaus and patricialeeross for proofreading and testing!
