Please note that the duster in the photograph shown here is the alpha version, and that the pattern has been improved in several ways (such as better fitting armholes, a narrower rib and a wider overall coat) compared to this version. There may be flaws in the pattern still; please don’t hesitate to contact me if you find one.

This pattern is for the duster worn by Rinoa Heartilly in Final Fantasy VIII. The pattern is based on a K2,P2-rib. It is knit in one piece, with only the shoulder seams to sew, and features an intarsia chart which can easily be left out if you do not want to work intarsia in rib. It uses roughly 400 grams of blue Cascade 220, and 25 grams of white (or 425 grams of blue if you skip the intarsia chart). The length of the coat is adjustable; in terms of width, it was tested on someone 1.75 m (5’9”) tall and 70 kilos (155 pounds) but due to the rib, will fit a wide variety of people. Instructions are written out, except for the intarsia chart.

A bonus pattern for the arm warmers is also included.
