The Rio Arriba shawl is a quick and easy shell stitch pattern inspired by the rippling effect of rushing rivers. Just like the rivers, this project works up swiftly and easily.

Details
Crochet Terms: US & UK
Yarn: Stylecraft Naturals Bamboo + Cotton, 1 ball each: Canyon (A), Nutmeg (B), Natural (C), Ecru (D), Celery (E), Thyme (F), Bluestone (G), Ocean (H)
Finished size: 73” by 36.5” but easily adjustable - simply repeat the pattern until you reach your desired size
Hook size: 3.5mm or size needed to obtain gauge, or an appropriate size for your chosen yarn
Gauge: pattern through row 5 is 5.5” x 2.75” (14cm x 7cm)
Additional Materials: 1 stitch marker, scissors, yarn needle, ruler, blocking equipment
