The basic stitch is garter stitch.
You don’t need to match the rows or Length simply knit with one color of yarn until it’s finished, then natuarally join the other color in middle and knit to the end. This way, you cn use all of the yarn without wsting any.
The technicques used are knit, yarn over, and knit two togather.
Since you don’t need to match the size or gauge, it has the advantage that even beginners can easily knit it.

This shawl scarf uses Malabrigo Rios.
Rios is hand-dyed yarn made of 100% merino wool, with a firm texture and little stretch.
It is very soft compared to general wool yarn, so it is not itchy or irritating, and people with senitive skin can wear it comfortably.
