This is a simple blanket in a double knit yarn. I have altered the pattern slightly so that all the patterning is done on one row; giving the relaxation of a straight knit row every other row.
There are no borders or finishing required.
I used a very pretty self striping yarn with a little bit of shimmer. The second photo is a better representation of the true colour. If you are using scraps for stripes be careful with the joins so that you get a neat edge.
