This pattern is for the ripple shoulder bag. I used to have a bag that was just the right size for taking my packed lunch to work in, and fit a couple of extra purchases in on the walk home. Then the strap broke. Sad times. I spent ages trying to find another one but they were all either enormous or hideous colours, so I set about designing my own. I hope you like it as much as I do.

It’s pretty adjustable as far as designs go, it has a multiple of 3 as the main pattern repeat so if you want to make it bigger just make sure before you hit the main ripple pattern section you have a multiple of 3, and keep going up in length as long as you like. Just be aware that even made in cotton it will stretch with use so don’t make it too big!

You will need 200 grams of aran weight/heavy worsted weight yarn and a 4mm hook for this pattern.

This pattern is provided in a pdf format, in BOTH UK AND US TERMNOLOGIES. The first copy of the pattern is in UK and the second in US. You can therefore choose which one to follow!
