I’ve been creating hats for a very dear friend, who loves them. As this winter has been particularly cold, I decided I’d create one for myself. As I love patterns in Nature, and this cable reminds me of patterns in the sand left by the sea I thought I’d use it.
Ripple Tassel Hat is created in two parts, the band is knitted on two needles and joined. Then stitches are picked up around one side of the band, the cap is then knitted up (in the round) from there. Decreases create a spiral at the top of the cap.
Knitted with DK or 8ply yarn held together with a fine mohair, the hat is lovely, soft and warm.
