Rippled Purse
The Rainbow Rippled Purse is worked using just One Skein of the absolutely gorgeous Kauni Effektgarn wool in colorway EQ. The yarn does the work for you with it’s incredibly long color repeats that blend seamlessly. I am love with this yarn, it felts like a dream. This purse would be equally beautiful worked in their other colorways. It has a square base which is a one row repeat after the square is established. Then it is another one row repeat for the sides. It ends up having the exact shape as the haekelbeutel pattern without all the squares. The handles are crocheted I-cord and attach through 3/8 Inch Grommets. The pattern is written specifically for felting. Easy Instructions are given to make the purse larger or smaller as you wish.
Purse measurements are:
Pre felting size - 12 ½ Inch square base, sides at lowest point 9 ½ Inches - 16 Inches across middle when folded flat.
Post felting: 12 Inches across top when folded flat, From top point to bottom 12 Inches, Bottom of V to bottom of bag 9 Inches.
It is not a large bag, more of a midsize purse, but with the easy instructions and single row repeats easily adjustable. Watching the color changes keeps the one row repeats from getting boring. You just can’t wait to see the colors change.
I have found one of the best places to order this yarn is from http://www.yarnandfiber.com
They are not listed here on the buying options. They have free and discounted shipping while still having good prices on the their yarn.
