Ripples
This lovely asymmetrical, garter-stitch shawl is an addictive knit! It is simple enough for those “Knit Night” gab sessions, but interesting enough to keep you coming back for more.
Designed as the Serial Knitters LYS tour pattern, it’s constructed so that if you weigh your yarn before hand, you can use the maximum possible amount in your skein -- making it great for those souvenir single skeins that we never quite know what do do with. The sideways design works great for a variety of yarn colors and dye-patterns -- showing off beautiful tonals and breaking up variegation. Meanwhile, the optional beads add just the right touch of sparkle.
Recommendations:
- Use a circular needle of at least 24” in length
- Weigh yarn before starting your project, as you need to save about 25% for the ending border
Optional: approx 150 size 6 seed beads & size 6 crochet hook
Gauge is not very important, if you weigh your yarn, making this a great project for odd-sized skeins.
