Ripples and rainbows
This is a very colorful blanket. It is worked flat. The main stitch pattern is a 6 row repeat over a multiple of 10 stitches. It gives the fabric the effect of ripples and works well with the yarn cakes that move from one color to another. Another advantage to using this yarn cake is that you don’t have to decide which color to use next. It is a fun surprise to see how the next color will blend with the ones that you have already knitted.
The “slanted diamond” stitch pattern is easy to remember. I did peek at what the first and last 5 stitches were, but in between those stitches you knit 5 and purl 5 stitches over and over.
Five rows of seed stitches at the beginning and end of the blanket prevents the fabric from rolling
