Ripples in the Sand
I wanted a shawl that would stay on my shoulders and not slip around. This design has 2 spine columns to accomplish this.
Wingspan is 109.5” (278 cm) wide, 19” (48 cm) high
The pattern begins with a Stockinette Stitch Tab Cast On. The main section of the shawl is stockinette stitch with garter ridge accents and contrast color mesh sections. The perpendicular border is attached to the main shawl as it is worked.
Needles: US 4 (3.5) mm in a 32 “ cable and double point needles
Yardage Requirements:
Main color: 2 skeins (800 yards)
Contrasting color: 1 skein (400 yards)
