The RIPPLES OF SUNSHINE Knitting Pattern:

This easy, dishcloth knitting pattern is well suited to beginner knitters. Written in English and using standard US terminology.

It is works up using approximately 52 meters (or, just under 60 yards) of Estelle ‘sudz’ crafting cotton, or a similar yarn, on 4.5mm (US7) needles. One skein is enough to knit one dishcloth, with a little bit left over.

This dish rag is worked flat on straight needles, or a circular needle, whichever you prefer working with. You will need to know how to cast on, how to work the knit stitch and the purl stitch, how to yarn over and how to pass a stitch over, as well as how to cast off and weave in your yarn tails.

This dishcloth would make a lovely home décor gift for someone moving into a new home. Consider working it up in a colour that would coordinate beautifully with their new kitchen.

Or, consider working it up as a facecloth or washcloth and coordinating with their new bathroom or nursery colour.

Fold and wrap with a beautiful ribbon or a piece of rafia for that special finishing touch.
