The body of this sweater, knitted in the round on circular needles, has cables that are worked without the traditional purl stitches which define the cables, creating a loose wave pattern that is only worked in knit stitch.
There is a wide bottom edge that is worked in stockinette stitch; this will curl if left, or you can block it to lie flat (or almost flat: directions are in the Guide, included).
The body is worked on circular needles to the armholes, then split and worked separately on straight needles. Both sleeves are worked on straight needles at the same time, and only have the pattern up the middle, making it easier to increase.
It is highly recommended to read through the pattern, including the guide, before beginning.

Loose fit, sleeve cuffs are slightly fitted
