This gender neutral pattern is a unique take on a classic ribbed beanie using worsted weight yarn. This intermediate level pattern is crocheted from the bottom up in turned rounds, starting with a slip stitch brim.

This pattern is written in ENGLISH using US terminology and has been tested by others. . It includes photos and detailed instructions for making the ribbed texture, with links to blog posts for additional help, if needed.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
Skills used: working in the round, slip stich ribbing, slip stitching, extended half double crochet, decreases

MATERIALS:

• Yarn: Approximately 70-195 yards of #4/worsted yarn
• Hook: I/5.5mm

INCLUDED SIZES:

• Baby (fits heads 15-17” in circumference)
• Toddler (fits heads 17-19” in circumference)
• Child (fits heads 19-20” in circumference)
• Teen/Adult Small (fits heads 20-22” in circumference)
• Adult Large (fits heads 22-24” in circumference)

It’s written with instructions for a fitted, slightly slouchy, and messy bun style beanie in all sizes. However, instructions are also given to make modifications to both the circumference and overall length of the beanie if you would like a different fit.
