Rise and Shine Rooster Pinwheel was created at the request of one of my customers. While it doesn’t have a monthly celebration as part of my Celebration Pinwheel Doily Collection, it is something we celebrate every day as we wake up to a new day full of potential. I used well-known stitches in creative ways to make my rooster. The three-dimensional tail is probably the first feature you see, but this rooster comes complete with wings made of front post double crochets and a wattle and coxcomb made of popcorn stitches. I think you will love it.

Using about 500 yards of size 10 thread and a 1.75 to 2.00 mm hook, this doily measures 17-20 inches in diameter depending on how loose or tight you crochet.

The pattern is presented in 2 columns as I find that easier to track from the end of one line to the beginning of the next line. I also show the round repeats in red to facilitate easy reading. Blue text indicates notes. There are 21 pictures to assist in visualizing the instructions.
