The Rising Sun Shawl is inspired by my time in Thailand and Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). When I arrived in Bangkok, I immediately began exploring the city. I visited the Temples, learned about Thai silk, and tried mango sticky rice for the first time.

One of my favorite temples was Wat Arun. I hopped a ferry to cross the Chao Phraya River and reached the entrance. I expected it to be crowded like the Grand Palace but instead found the temple almost empty. I enjoyed the bright colors that decorated the Wats and lingered over each design.

Wat Arun is dedicated to the Buddhist God Aruna. The Aruna Shawl is inspired by the colorfulness and calmness of the temple.
