The Rising Tides Beanie features easy to follow colorwork that is perfect for a beginner knitter who wants to take the plunge at learning fair isle knitting. Super Bulky weight yarn makes this hat work up very quick which is perfect for a quick project and market prep. Top off the project with a single pom for a classic beanie look or a double pom for an adorable bear eared beanie. PDF will contain both a written and charted version of the fair isle portion of the beanie.

Pattern is written for sizes Toddler 1-3 yrs old, Child 3-9 yrs old, Small adult usually women’s average sized head, and large adult usually men’s average sized head.

Gauge is stockinette stitch using the 9 mm needles 5 sts x 6 rows = 2”

Use 2 different colors of super bulky weight yarn for a main color and accent color. Yardage is between 45-66 yards for the main color and 18-33 yards for the accent color
