Riven
This pattern is
available from karenwhooley.com
for $7.50.
Riven Socks are wonderfully simple to make and are what I think to be the perfect socks for warmer weather because of the open work used in the leg and the foot. Although the name implies that fabric is torn, the holes in the pattern are intentional and actually allow for better-fitting socks in the long run. Don’t let the look of the socks-in-progress fool you at first as they may seem completely different from any others you might have made. Once your foot is in them, you will wonder where these socks have been all your life!
The pattern includes stitch charts for all pieces of the socks
