This hat, which works up quickly with the same instructions for adult size in bulky weight yarn or baby size in worsted weight, features an optional ribbed brim, allover texture, and a striking geometric crown. This pattern is perfect for showing off tonal or semi-solid hand-dyed yarns.

The hat is shown in two versions: with ribbing at the brim and without. The version without ribbing will have a wavy edge when laid flat. This effect mostly disappears when the hat is worn and the edge is stretched (as shown), but if a straighter edge is desired when the hat isn’t being worn, work the ribbed brim version or wet block the hat without ribbing to remove the wavy edge.
