Hello & welcome to the River of Dreams pattern! This pattern is designed to wear similarly to a blanket scarf—big, cozy, & worn many different ways including as a poncho. It uses 5 skeins of fingering weight yarn. The colors all come together and blend at different points, so I would choose colors that coordinate with each other throughout.

This pattern can also be a great stash & scrap buster. That gorgeous speckle yarn you bought at a trunk show because it just leaped into your bag? That gradient kit you’ve never found a use for? HELLO, IT HAS A HOME.

This pattern is worked primarily in stockinette stitch with a little bit of lace and faux cables to keep things interesting. The color play throughout the pattern is intended to come together like an impressionist painting or a river running through a dream—colors coming together, combining and recombining in a multitude of different ways.
