This is ideal for beginners looking to crochet a large yet simple project using half double crochet (HDC) stitch.

The final product will be 44 inches wide (90 HDC across) by 64 inches long (108 rows) using 6 skeins. One skein yields approximately 9 inches tall depending on tension.

A size 9mm hook was used which created a more flexible weave in the product. For a tighter weave, try using an 8mm hook, but check your gauge and adjust your foundation row to achieve your desired size blanket.
