This is a mosaic knit pattern done in the round. After making it, I thought it reminded me most of the river that runs through our town with the color changing spree appearing like river rocks, hence the name!

The gauge is not particularly important as long as tension is loose enough. If you are a tight knitter, then I suggest going up 1-2 needle sizes than the pattern suggests.

You need 2 different colors of DK weight yarn for this pattern. For the headband version, 1 skein of 2 different colors of Berroco Spree will make 2 adult large headbands in opposite colorways. Or 1 adult headband and 1 adult small hat.
