River Run Shawl
The River Run Shawl is inspired by a red dress, trimmed with lace ruffles, worn by Claire in Season 4 Episode 2 of Outlander, while visiting with Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta at her plantation home River Run.
The River Run shawl is inspired by the contrast of textures and fabric in the outfit’s sleeve - sturdy red woven fabric contrasts with off-white floral ruffles.
The shawl is worked flat, and consists of a garter stitch crescent shape and a stockinette stitch welt border, both worked in DK weight yarn.
The shawl is finished with a lace edging, worked in a delicate lace weight yarn, with a simple motif that is suggestive of flower petals. The simple petal-like motif is formed with yarn overs and nupps.
Errata:
