River Stones Infinity Cowl

If you’ve ever stood beside a clear flowing river in the sunlight you may find yourself mesmerised by the light reflecting off the smooth stones below. This light weight infinity Cowl reminds me of such moments.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Gauge: 20 Sc x 16 rows = 4 inches.
Finished Size: 52 inches around, 5 inches wide.
Yarn: Approximately 265 Yards of Cove yarn by Northern Bay Fibres™ (85% polwarth wool, %15 silk 100g, 295 yards); DK weight, colour Stormy Sea.
Or you may substitute this yarn for any light worsted weight yarn (weight 2-3).
Hook: Size F5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn Needle.
Stitches and Abbreviations:
Ch – chain
Dc – double crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Hdc5tog - Half double crochet 5 together - working all in the stitch indicated, yo, insert hook in st and draw up a loop (5 times), yo and draw through all Loops on Hook.
Rpt – repeat
Sc – Single Crochet
Sc2tog - single crochet 2 together
Sc3tog - single crochet 3 together
Sl st – slip stitch
Tr - triple crochet
Pattern Notes:
- Pattern is written in American English terms.
- Ch 1 at beg of row does not count as sc.
- Ch 3 at beg of row counts as dc unless stated otherwise.
- Weave in ends as needed.
- Main part of the Cowl is worked in rows, while the edging is worked in rounds.
