Blue River Nessie Crochet Pattern is made with #4 medium (worsted weight) yarn and 4.25mm hook - but this pattern can be made in different size yarn.

In English and US terms (no charts), Advanced-beginner skill level with pictures and instructions.

This pattern is an amigurumi type pattern and I recommend being familiar with Single Crochet, Sinlge Crochet increases and decreases, how to use a magic ring or at least how to crochet in the round with a chain beginning.

Requires only a small amount of hand sewing with yarn and yarn needle. This nessie is crocheted from the bottom up with the only sewing being the fins and details.

This nessie requires wire in the center of it to be able to bend the neck and tail to the desirable shape. I used 16 gauge crafting wire, but whatever wire will work as long as it’s thick enough or twisted to be thick enough to hold it’s shape after finishing with the crochet item.

To make this pattern it requires:
225-245 yards in the main color (worsted weight)
a small amount of dark blue yarn for details,
a small amount of white yarn for details,
4.25mm Crochet hook,
fiberfill stuffing,
yarn needle,
16 gauge crafting wire,
14mm plastic eyes for amigurumi.

I recommend making this nessie in medium yarn or smaller because if this nessie is made with bigger yarn it will become quite large.
