Riverbank Grape is available as a custom-gauge, custom-size pattern via the CustomFit pattern generator. Upon purchase, you’ll receive a credit for a custom version of Riverbank Grape and instructions on how to create it.

Riverbank Grapes, sometimes also called frost grapes, are native to New Brunswick, Canada. They grow in thick twining tendrils near water sources, and produce a intense purple coloured grape. This sweater takes inspiration with its thick cables growing up the sleeves.

Riverbank Grape has a narrow scoop neck, which starts above the armhole shaping. It has rope cables up the sleeves, with the body of the sweater in stockinette to allow for the most flexibility to choose your preferred silhouette.

Meg is wearing an hourglass, average fit, average length, with full length set-in sleeves. It’s knit in a semi-solid colour. A solid or semi-solid colour is recommended to prevent the yarn from visually competing with the cable.

This pattern is built into https://customfit.amyherzogdesigns.com, and is designed to be made in any weight yarn, in your choice of gauge and size. We recommend knitting in a DK to Aran weight, in order to preserve the width of the cable.

CustomFit allows you to choose your own sleeve and sweater lengths to match your preference. By design, the Riverbank Grape uses your “average” sweater length and your “long” sleeve length. This can be adjusted for your preferences.

Riverbank Grape has an hourglass silhouette by default (with waist and bust shaping), but this can be changed to any of CustomFit’s silhouette, including half-hourglass, straight, a-line or tapered.
