ROA #13 Grandma Rachie's Shawl
Knitted shawl shaped like 3/4 of a square, worked from neckline down. Garter stitch is used, with eyelets at the increases on the diagonals of the shawl. At the bottom of the shawl a feather-and-fan type lace pattern is used for several rows.
This pattern was sold directly by Red Oak Designs as a pamphlet. The actual designer’s name is not included nor is there a date, but it was available for purchase around the year 2000. In addition to the name of the shawl, the pattern is marked as ROA #13.
The model design was knit with Phildar’s Cordilla yarn, using 6 50-gm balls of about 183 yards each.
