Roadtrip Shacket
Imagine being out in the wild nature, surrounded by the most beautiful scenery in a cold, crisp morning. Soft clouds stretch over the white mountain peaks on the horizon, bathed in the pink sunrise light. Your hands warm up on a hot mug, the mist of your breath mixing with that of your beverage. Behind you, the first rays of light finally hit your van, still covered of fog. You are wrapped up in your soft and cozy Roadtrip Shacket, enjoying the unique feeling of being home wherever you are in the world.
This classic oversized dropshoudler silhouette mixes the best of top down and bottom up constructions: the yoke part is worked from the bottom up and seamed together at the shoulders, while the rest of the garment is knit top down in simple stockinette.
The Shacket, contraction of Shirt and Jacket, features patch pockets, a buttoned up front, a shirt collar and neat cuff details. The sleeves have a sleeve cap for a perfect shirt-like fit, and the pattern includes instructions for both a long and short sleeves version.
The garment is designed to be unisex, that’s why the sizing uses chest measurement (upper bust rather than full bust). This is to ensure a great fit around the shoulders, rather than a set amount of ease at the bust. There is detailed guidance in the pattern on how to select a size depending on your body type, and how to modify it if needed.
! The pattern is charted only !
