Roaming Gnome is such a cute character to make. He or she is inspired by the Garden Gnome in the French Film “Amelie”. The size is perfect for several purposes -- a table decor, a hug buddy, a learning tool for kids, or even a toy for your pets. Just make sure to use safety eyes (or none at all) for kids below 3 and pets! Roaming Gnome would look awesome on your shelf… or table… by your bedside… on your bed… in your arms… in your Instagram travel pictures…everywhere actually. And the best thing? He or she makes the best travel buddy because he or she travels light!

In the tutorial, I used buttons for eyes. But trust me, button eyes or safety eyes (or even embroidered eyes!) this gnome is going to come out as a charmer!

The pattern is written in English and may be used by both the right and left handed. With the hat, the doll will be about 11.5 inches tall.
