This lovely version of a granny square can be made from left over yarn and used as a coaster or you could choose to make more squares and create a table runner or even a blanket.
The square has pretty scalloped edges and if using cotton (as recommended) benefits from blocking.
Amount of yarn used will depend upon the number of squares you choose to make…. One square made from 7 colours will use less than 50g of each colour, in fact you will probably get 2 squares from that!
