Cast on 3
Row 1 : knit 3
Row 2 : knit 1, M1R, knit to end
Repeat row 2 till having 50 stitches
Join in the round and knit 5 rounds in garter stitches (one knit row/one purl row)
Bind off losely on a purl row.
Weave in all ends.
And voilà !

Notes :

• I stopped increases at 47 stitches and it’s a little bit too small for the 53cm of my son’s head. It’s ok with this yarn which gives a stretch garter stitch but I think it’s better to continue to 50st. or more with other yarn, depending on the head of the kid too.
• the 5 rounds of straight garter stitch at the end gives a small back, I find it more convenient with hooded coat or enveloping hats but you can continue more rounds if you want something higher in the neck.

Monter 3 mailles
Rang 1 : 3 m. endroit
Rang 2 : 1m.endr., 1 augmentation, tricoter endroit jusqu’à la fin du rang
Répéter le rang 2 jusqu’à avoir 50 mailles
Joindre en rond et tricoter 5 rangs au point mousse (1 rang endroit/1 rang envers)
Rabattre souplement sur un rang envers.
Rentrer les fils.
Et voilà !

à noter :

• pour le mien je me suis arrêtée à 47 mailles et c’est un peu juste pour les 53cm de tour de tête de mon fils, ça passe car cette laine est très souple et donne un point mousse très élastique mais c’est juste, je pense qu’il faut prévoir au moins 50 mailles voire plus pour une laine moins élastique.
• les 5 rangs droits à la fin donnent une partie arrière plutôt fine, je trouve ça commode avec les blousons à capuche ou les bonnets bien enveloppants, mais on peut rallonger cette partie si on souhaite quelque chose de plus couvrant sur la nuque.
