Rochelle
She sells seashells by the seashore. And you can tell her apart from the other seashell sellers by those fancy socks!
Designed especially for sport weight sock yarns, Rochelle is Michelle’s big sister. A modern take on classic Old Shale, this is a quick and unfussy knit. Easy lace repeats intergrade elegantly into the top-down sock construction with short row heels and toes. The ripple effect of the pattern flatters the wearer, and suits both solid and variegated yarns.
Special techniques required: short rows, Kitchener stitch, lace.
A note on sizing: The nature of this pattern calls for a fixed number of cast-on stitches. Leg fit can be adjusted by varying needle diameter and yarn weight. A sizing guide to assist with this is provided in the pattern.
