Rock Candy
Named for its colourful fluorite deposits, the Rock Candy Mine provided valuable flux to nearby smelters in the early 1900s. Today the heritage property, located outside Grand Forks, BC, is a tourist attraction, where enthusiasts can collect their own purple and green fluorite and sparkly quartz on a sunny hillside above the Granby River.
Rock Candy is a top down triangle shawl. Worked in three colours, with sections of squishy garter, simple lace eyelets, and colourful texture.
