The rock chuck, or yellow-bellied marmot, is a pudgy little ground squirrel typically found above elevations of 2000 meters in the Rockies. This marmot lives inside burrows in colonies of up to twenty members. The rock chuck can be found sunbathing on the rocks by the side of the trail during hikes in the Alberta Rockies. The squat little body of the rock chuck is the inspiration for this cozy neck cowl.
