Rocket Pop Shawl - assigned pooling shawl
Designed for assigned pooling or planned pooling yarns!
When a design is in the works it often gets a nickname. The colors in this yarn immediately reminded me of Rocket Pops, and while I try never to name anything for its colors, it stuck! Rocket Pop Shawl is a simple boomerang shawl that uses yarn overs to accent the Colorburst sections in the yarn. Sections of stockinette stitch are broken up with elongated stitches bordered on both sides with garter stitch. Using only one skein, it blocks out to a generous size and makes for a lightweight, all-season shawl.
Yarn:
1 skein of Wonderland Yarns “Mary Ann” fingering weight: 475 yds/4 oz skein
We designed this pattern to be used with a colorburst, but a variegated with large pops of color could be used as a substitute. Assigned pooling yarn
