Knit your own fantastic retro sci-fi rocket ship! This intermediate pattern will teach you how to make your own cute stuffed rocket ship, a perfect soft toy for both children and adults alike. They also make a unique display piece when balanced diagonally upright on their fins. Worked with worsted weight yarn and size 6 double pointed needles, the ship measures about 8 inches long (not including exhaust) and about 6 inches wide. However, gauge is not important to this project so you may use whatever yarn suits your fancy, provided the needle size is adjusted accordingly. In addition to the yarn, you will also need a small amount of polyester fiberfill stuffing.

This is an intermediate pattern. You’ll need to know how to knit in the round on double pointed needles, pick up stitches, and seam using mattress stitch and Kitchener stitch. A fairly extensive photo tutorial is included to assist you.
