Rockford is an incredibly adventurous little mountaineer, complete with a hiking pack and bedroll.

This pattern is an 8 page pdf, with written instructions followed by two pages of helpful photos. This way you can choose to print only the type portion of the pattern and skip ink-hogging photos! Pattern is in English with US crochet terminology.

This pattern is written for fingering or sport weight yarn, I prefer mercerized cotton. Rockford stands 8 inches tall when finished. You can easily make a larger version with a larger yarn and hook.

Materials needed:

  • two 6mm safety eyes

  • fingering weight cotton yarn -body color (white) 25g -horn and hoof color (brown) 25g -backpack (mustard) less than 25g -bedroll (green) less than 25g -strap color (brown) scrap

  • 1.75mm crochet hook

  • toy stuffing

  • yarn needle
