Finished size:
21 inches in length, 6 ½ inches wide on body, 1 ½ inches thick

Gauge is not important, but will change final size. Use a hook that will give you stitches that are tight enough to keep the stuffing inside. This can be made in a variety of yarns, and colors. The body, neck, and head colors can vary, they don’t all have to be the same color.

Materials needed:
G (4.25mm) crochet hook
F (3.75mm) crochet hook
Medium (4) Worsted Weight yarn in one or two colors of your choice (shown in Red Heart Super Saver)
Medium Worsted Weight yarn in grey (ideally a yarn that is slightly thinner than other yarns; shown in KnitPicks Shine “Robot”)
Embroidery Floss (5) in a light grey or silver tone
Plastic canvas, 12” x 18” (templates on pages 8-9)
Fiberfill Stuffing
Tapestry needle
Scissors

I didn’t measure out the yarn, but if you made the body, head and neck all in one color, it would be about (or less than) half a skein. The light grey is a minimal amount, used for frets, and knobs. The embroidery floss is used to make the strings. Optionally- you could use puffy paint for the strings.
The plastic canvas is used to give some stability, and still allow the piece to be washed (unlike cardboard). The pattern can easily be personalized to make the guitar match a specific real one. I initially designed this as a baby shower gift for my cousin who’s husband is a musician!
