Rockweed Pullover is a sweater version of its namesake cardigan with an ornate pattern featuring sharp double decreases that create undulating waves of lace. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down with fingering weight as the main yarn. But this time the garment is knit in the round with lace sections on the round yoke and hem done in lace-weight silk mohair for an extra delicate look.

Neckband, sleeve cuffs, and hem are done in ribbing whereas sections of stockinette separate the lace tiers on the yoke. An alternative variation is offered in which all these are replaced with garter stitch in the round. This variation gives crisp transitions between stockinette and lace, especially if knitting the garment in one color.

Rockweed Pullover comes in 10 sizes from XS to 6X. The pattern is written with both metric and US terminology. Both written and charted instructions are given for the lace pattern.

Choose a size based on upper bust circumference (measured at the underarm level above any breast tissue). This #sizeinclusive pullover is intended to be worn with approx. 5 cm / 2″ of positive ease at the bust and hip and approx. 7.5 cm / 3″ of positive ease at the waist.

TECHNIQUES USED

The pattern uses the following techniques: lace, German short rows, provisional cast-on, and a stretchy or Icelandic bind-off. Ability to follow charts is recommended but written instructions are also provided for the lace pattern.

Rockweed Pullover on neuletakkikaimansa puseroversio. Puseron kaarroketta ja helmaa koristaa kerrostettu pitsineule, jonka terävät kaksoiskavennukset saavat sen aaltoilemaan kauniisti. Pusero neulotaan saumattomasti ylhäältä alaspäin fingering-vahvuisella langalla mutta tällä kertaa täysin pyöröneuleena, jolloin pitsiä ei tarvitse neuloa nurjan puolen kerroksilla. Kaarrokkeen ja helman pitsineuleosuudet neulotaan lace-vahvuisella silkkimohairilla, mikä antaa sille erityisen siron ilmeen.

Pääntiellä, hihansuissa ja helmassa neulotaan joustinta kun taas pitsineuleosioiden välissä on pari kerrosta sileää neuletta. Ohjeessa on myös vaihtoehtoinen versio, jossa kaikki em. tehdäänkin ainaoikeana. Näin saadaan selkeät siirtymät sileän ja pitsineuleen välille, varsinkin jos haluat neuloa puseron vain yhdellä värillä tai langalla.
