Inspired by Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary, this pattern provides instructions on how to crochet your own Rocky the Eridian. The finished piece measures about 8” across using the recommended tools. Plus, you can put in a squeaker insert, making him great as a gift for people who like tactile or auditory stimulus.
The piece is worked in two colours; you will need no more than 100 yards worsted weight in each. This pattern uses a 3.75mm hook in order to fit a 35mm squeaker insert and stuffing. Other materials needed are a yarn needle, scissors, and a stitch marker. Small amounts of black yarn or thread can be used for small details.
Please heed and respect the disclaimers written in the pattern. Enjoy!
