A knitting pattern for Rod - the fishing penguin, a fun addition to any household.

Rod stands 9 inches high and is the perfect size for little arms to hug. Alternatively, put a bag of rice or lentils in the body and you have a dinky doorstop! Rod has a vibrant orange beak and realistic penguin feet.

The pattern includes instructions for a jaunty sou’wester hat and a fishing basket. There are also two types of fish: - a silver mackerel which is 3” (7.5 cms) long and a golden plaice 3.5” (9 cms) long.

The penguin is easy to make. Rod and his sou-wester are made using garter stitch, the fish are in stocking stitch and the basket is in a simple knit and purl basketweave pattern.

Photo tutorial included of more difficult steps of making up.
