Rolf Sweater is a lovely textured children’s pullover worked in sections from top-down using various knit, purl and cable stitches. The upper sweater (both upper back and upper front) is worked in seed stitch. An eyelet border between stitch styles is worked with yarn overs creating a unique detail throughout the piece. The middle of the sweater is a cross-cable stitch pattern, and the lower sweater is worked in double irish moss stitch. Ribbed hems are the finishing touch for all edges.

Workflow:
First the back yoke is knit back and forth. The shoulders are then attached individually to the back yoke and joined together to form the front. The front yoke is worked back and forth, until the front and back are joined. Once joined, the rest of the body is worked in the round. The neckline is then worked, by picking up stitches around the neckline and working ribbing until folding over to create a chunky effect. The arms are worked individually by picking up stitches around the armholes and working decreases towards the cuff.
