Inspired by a Chanel Ad - nice looking hat but not sure the construction was too good. I decided to see if I could make a better job of a black hat (photo of first version attached).

The next issue was to find a commercially available yarn to repeat the pattern - enter the beautiful bamboo blend from Twilleys. Knit with this yarn it is a beautiful soft had that looks quite hard edge.

Knit in the round I bought two balls of yarn and had about a half ball over. If you are comfortable knitting in the round this is a simple hat - once you keep a count on the shaping.
