Rolled-Edge Hat
Basic rolled brim hat; Spurkland adds a twisted knit stitch to keep the edge from flaring. Yardage needed depends on the the number of colors desired. Pattern calls for a 16-inch circular needle and/or DPs, but hat can also be knit using two circulars or Magic Loop.
Pattern Description: “With classic stripes and a rolled-edge finish, this hat is guaranteed to please parent and child alike. You can knit one in an evening or two, making it a perfect ‘gift in a hurry’ project.” Page 28
Suggested Colors: 3882 Cornflower, 3935 Lilac and 3703 Grass Green; or 3715 Apple, 3882 Cornflower, and 3475 Apricot
Needles: 16” (40cm) circulars and a set of double pointeds. Preemie and 0-6 months use double pointed needles only.
Sizes: Preemie, 0-6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3-4 years
