RollerGirl Raglan
This go-with-everything pullover is strictly for those who knit fiercely! This raglan sweater is as appropriate to wear to pre-school drop-off as it is for date night at the roller derby.
Use Knit Picks Chroma Worsted yarn for warmth + a variety of self-striping colors that give the sleeves a fun pop of color without any extra ends to weave in at the end of the project!
Testers agreed that this project can be accomplished by an “adventurous beginner”. One rated it “more difficult than a scarf, but less difficult than a cardigan - 3rd or 4th project, if you’re confident.”
A collection of helpful video & photo tutorial links are provided in the pattern for the following techniques:
• Left & Right Leg Increases
• Mattress Stitch
Other Techniques Used:
• decreases (K2tog & modified SSK)
• knitting flat
• knitting in the round
The RollerGirl Raglan is written for women’s sizes 33” - 48”, and is intended to fit with as little ease as possible in the chest. A detailed schematic is included, making any desired pattern modifications that much easier.

Many, many thanks to the delightful testers who tested this pattern! Check out project pages from sew42mom, REJ, Wolflovertoo, southernyank, lolita, ldh652, & mlb to see a handfull of different incarnations of this sweater. If you’re thinking about modifcations, you might be interested that REJ added 3” of short rows in the bust to her sweater, and mlb decided to make hers with full-length long sleeves. Take a look at the gorgeous projects they have to share!
