Use basically any type of yarn ~ acrylic, cotton or blends in virtually any yarn weight you’d like. The measurements are given using #4 worsted weight yarn, but if you’d like your finished project a bit smaller, use #3 yarn. If you want a nice heavy throw or lapghan, use #5 weight yarn. The possibilities are endless!

It is a great beginner pattern and works up fast. Use any colors you wish as long as they contrast each other so the design shows.

Color B - Design Color - 310 yards
Stitches Used - US Terms:
Ch - Chain
SC - Single Crochet
BLSC - Back Loop Single Crochet
FLDC - Front Loop Double Crochet 2 Rows Down
Skill Level:
Beginner - As long as you know the basics of crocheting (stitches listed above), you will be able to do this project. Mosaic crochet looks a lot more complex than it really is. This is a great pattern to try if you’ve never done mosaic overlay crochet.
We’ve had several people that were brand new to mosaic crochet try our patterns and were successful in their projects.
