ROMA - A short-sleeved summer blouse in a lace pattern knitted across from sleeve to sleeve to get the effect of vertical stripes in an effect /tip colour. The tip colour is worked in stocking stitch.
Neck band and welt: garter st.
Also beautiful in cotton and/or plain coloured.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 3↑.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.
Sizes included in the pattern: small/medium - large - xlarge/xxlarge
Measurements of the garment:
Bust: 98 cm - 106 cm - 114 cm (in: 38.5 - 41.75 - 44.75)
Length: 58 cm - 62 cm - 66 cm - 66 cm (in: 22.75 - 24.5 - 26) or as desired
Yarn: this design applies for a 3-ply silk, 50 g = ca. 240 meters. To use 200 - 250 - 350 g in main colour and 50 g in tip colour.
The original was made in SETA, 100 % bourette silk, from Campolmi Roberto Filati in Florence (Firenze), Italy.
This design is suitable also for a cotton yarn such as Paintbox Yarns Cotton 4ply.
Needles: and circular needles (or double pointed) no 2 and 2.5 mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking st (washed sample): 26 sts on needles no 2.5 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
