Roman Holiday Purse
A spray of acanthus leaves brings a classical air to the shapely Roman Holiday Purse. In Jane Austen’s day, intricate accessories complemented the simplicity of white classical gowns. By the Victorian era, dresses and bags had become more elaborate. Here, the highly textured leaves and tassel stem of the acanthus make a bold statement. The tight gauge of the knitting creates a bag that is both sturdy and elegant.
