This model is my definition of the perfect cardigan, the one I want to wear every day. It’s a basic piece characterized by feminine details that makes it unique. This timeless cardigan fits well into any wardrobe.
This cardigan is knitted seamlessly from the top-down. It has a V neck with a delicate crochet details on the button band. This pattern includes instructions for balloon or straight sleeves. It’s shown here with the balloon sleeves option.
The sample is knitted with a fingering yarn held double with a lace mohair and silk blend. It can also be knitted in a DK weight yarn.

Size
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL).
Shown in size XS with 2¼’’/ 6 cm of positive ease at bust. Choose a size with 0 to 3’’ / 0 to 8 cm of positive ease at bust.

Bust circumference of the finished garment: 33¼ (36½, 40½, 44½, 48½) (52½, 56½, 60½, 64½)’’ / 85 (93, 103, 113, 123) (133, 144, 153, 164) cm.

Gauge
20 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 4 x 4’’ in stockinette st with 4.5 mm / US 7 needles, after blocking.

These two are held double for this project:

• BFL Steel Sock by Les laines Mailles à part, 75 % superwash BFL / 25 % nylon, 424 m / 100 g. 2 (3, 3, 3, 4) (4, 4, 5, 5) skeins in the Stylo Bleu colorway OR approximatively 760 (885, 1010, 1180, 1305) (1470, 1600,1725, 1850) m of fingering weigh yarn.

AND

• Lune by Urso Yarn Co, 70 % mohair / 30 % silk, 420 m / 50 g. 2 (3, 3, 3, 4) (4, 4, 5, 5) skeins in the Lavande séchée colorway OR approximatively 760 (885, 1010, 1180, 1305) (1470, 1600, 1725, 1850) m of a lace mohair and silk blend.

OR you can use 760 (885, 1010, 1180, 1305) (1470, 1600, 1725, 1850) m of a DK weight yarn.

Needles and accesories
4.5 mm / US 7 and 3.5 mm / US 4 circular knitting needles.
Tapestry needles and sts markers.
6 to 8 buttons of approximatively 15 mm.
3.5 mm hook.

Ce modèle est ma définition du cardigan parfait, celui que je veux porter à tous les jours. C’est un modèle basique caractérisé par des détails féminins qui le rend unique. Cette pièce intemporelle s’intègre bien à toutes les garde-robes.
Il s’agit d’un modèle qui se tricote du haut vers le bas, sans couture. Il a un col en V avec un joli détail au crochet sur la bande de boutonnage. Le patron inclus 2 options de manches : des manches bouffantes et des manches droites. Il est présenté ici avec les manches bouffantes.
Le modèle de présentation est tricoté avec un fil de grosseur « fingering » doublé d’un fil dentelle de soie et de mohair. Cette combinaison de fils peut être substituée par un fil de grosseur DK.
